I started in the building industry way back in the eighties, working with my father. In 2002 I had the good fortune to join a custom home builder, where I built 5,000 sq. ft. custom homes. In 2004 I received my Florida residential contractor’s license and, after four more years, I joined a large tract home builder. During these years, I experienced outstanding, mediocre, and downright shoddy workmanship in home construction.
In 2014, my experience and interest led to my natural progression into the inspection side of the industry, and I became an Orange County building inspector, conducting both residential and commercial inspections. In 2016, I ventured out with my son into the home inspection company industry. With my strong experience in the industry, I have the edge in picking up on flaws that others do not. My credentials are as follows:
- Florida certified residential contractor’s license: CRC1328843
- Florida certified inspector license: HI 19972
- InterNACHI certified inspector
- InterNACHI certified mold inspector
- InterNACHI certified wind mitigation inspector
- InterNACHI certified advance wood destroying organisms (WDO) inspector
My inspection skills are honed by engineering precision, craftsmanship perfected as a custom home builder, and attention to detail learned as a production home builder. I have worked directly with clients throughout the whole building process as a custom home builder, which is why I understand the importance of personal interaction with customers. My main consideration for becoming a home inspector in the first place was actually observing so many others in the trade performing on a sub-standard level.
I am dedicated and driven, always on time, and include customers throughout the inspection process. That is why I will encourage you to accompany me on the inspection to allow me to explain all my findings to you. You can rely on my complete honesty – I will never misrepresent any findings. Furthermore, I will explain any negative findings with the tact of a true professional.
